Ionization water filter

Initially I got a better understanding of how this method of work of filtering required.

The water seeps through ion exchange resins, ion exchange (the increase is usually a resin material into a spherical shape with a total area). Is performed to filter the water through the water like drops of resin from which the ions are incorporated into the water exchanged for other ions, which are solids or droplets of resin. The two most common ion exchange systems in use today are for useSoftening and deionization.

Water Filter

Softening is used primarily as a pretreatment method for hardness of water by osmosis (which will be analyzed for my next post) direction. The sodium ions are incorporated plasticizers pearls, and these are exchanged with ions of calcium or magnesium in the water.

Deionization beads in two variants. This change in hydrogen ion ion cationic (positively charged impurities that is) and beads to remove contaminants anion negative charge.

Deionization 'sThe water should be in two phases. Normally, these resins are contained in two separate filters to easily exchange the used filter. They can also be mixed together to form a filter, but this is a bit 'more extravagant. They have the great advantage of the resin filter, can be regenerated. They get all impurities, hydrogen or hydroxyl ions are released, but the major part of this is that this regeneration will not occur in your drinking water.

AfterAfter going through all this, I noticed that this method of filtration is more common than I thought, especially in hard water areas of the country to reduce the amount of lime. Later I will examine ways to remove the public on this.

As with all methods of filtering, there are advantages and disadvantages of this method.

This method is very effective in removing inorganic ions from the water supply. It is to take relatively cheap start-up costsin a water system, and ion exchange resins can be regenerated. This makes it a valuable part of a multi-filter system.

The downside is the ion-filtration, this method removes only the inorganic impurities. All bacteria, or living matter is not filtered, and bacteria can also attach and grow the resin beads. The same is true for all other organic molecules or pyrogens. Another disadvantage is that it is an expensive operating costs over time.

In summary,Deionization can be an important component of total water treatment plant, when used in combination with other methods. DI systems effectively remove inorganic ions, but not effectively remove most organic or microorganisms. Microorganisms can attach to the resin and provides a culture medium for bacterial growth and subsequent production of pyrogens.
